  • Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Comment

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public comments on the office’s application for grant funding for the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant program.

The Sheriff’s Office plans to utilize these funds to enter into a contract with UCF Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies to conduct a research project on our juvenile program efficiencies and recidivism.

In prior years the Sheriff’s Office has purchased disaster recovery equipment, Latent Print Station, Crime Scene Laboratory and other investigative tools with JAG funding. All of the funds are used to reduce crime and improve public safety.

We welcome your comments on our application for the grant funding. Please call 407-665-6761, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm with any comments.
